Religion is an Idea

A theory. That's what I wish people would admit. We all talk about it, about how we "believe" this is how it is. Yet new religions appear everyday, from a simple idea. The bible was written by man's idea millions of years ago, yet we all worship it.

I could write an idea of my own in a book, and it could get the same following.

A country of religion

Atheists can't be in the boy scouts.

Atheists can't run for governmental positions in several states.

The words "One nation under God" were not in the original design of the pledge

With all the religions in the world, no matter what anyone says to others or believes themselves, someone has to be wrong, not everyone can be right.

God is Imaginary

1.) People can't be created out of dust

2.) You can't live inside a fish for three days

3.) You can't walk on water

4.) You can't split water to walk through it

5.) There is no proof of a great flood

6.) Blind people don't magically see.

7.) The resurrection makes absolutely no sense

8.) The bible has crazy commands like "All people who work on the seventh day should be put to death"

9.) Ten commandments tell you not to kill, but it's okay for God to?

10.) God is supposed to be loving, but he killed more humans than Hitler.

Time Better Spent

Did you know that the Vatican alone takes in billions of dollars a year? With just one billion of that money, we could feed millions of hungry african kids for a week.

Did you know that with the time an average Catholic spends in church (one hour a day) once a week, and if you consider 3 billion people in the world go to church, then on average thats roughly 156 billion hours spent in church a year. You could build millions of houses for homeless people with that time.

Just something to think about.

Religion

Why is it that people pick and choose things they want to believe about a religion. Think about it - Christianity is a religion about the bible - and the bible says things like "Homosexuals should be put to death, those working on sunday should be put to death, disobediant teens should be put to death" yet people don't believe these things. Why? Because it's crazy! But if you don't believe it all, you can't just choose not to.

Spring Break

What to do over spring break.....what to do...what to do... I am not going to Panama or to the beach like everyone else this spring break. Not that I mind, I find florida to be a fun place, but the drive down is killer. Instead, I'll be staying in the comfort of my very own home, and going to work, so while everyone else is on the beach, ill be making money.

What do you do with all the things you write about?

Well since I blog about all these things I have had bottled inside of me, I typically don't do anything with them. That's why I use them to blog with, if I went and blogged about something that I had already done, it wouldn't mean as much to me or be as emotional as it is when I am just trying to talk to someone when I know no one is listening. So I can say things I am passionate about without them being read by the people I am angry or mad at.

Time

If I had the chance to sit down and use time for anything, I would write a book. A book about life, success or failure, religion, maybe fantasy, or science fiction. I would like to sit down and write. A paper to talk to, it listens and listens. I could organize my thoughts, and reflect my feelings, I could share my successes, and choose to look over my failures. Anyone who read the paper would only know what I told them, and so I can choose to be whomever I please.

If I had the time to do whatever I wanted, I would turn into a pencil, and write.
